  ADMISSION GUIDELINES :

Reservations:

  • 15% of the seats for SC and 7.5% of seats for ST on all fresh admissions.
     

  • 3% seats will be horizontally reserved for handicapped Children.
     

  • Admissions are also open to non- Central Govt employees and floating population as per the rules and regulations in the admission guidelines.
     

  • SALE AND REGISTRATION OF ADMISSIONS FORMS FOR CLASS XI (SCIENCE STREAM) SHALL BE FOR 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF CLASS X BOARD RESULTS.
   
PRIORITIES FOR ADMISSION :
     
 
  • Children of transferable central government employees including ex-servicemen.
     
  • Children of non-transferable central government employees including ex-servicemen
     
  • Children of transferable & non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector undertaking of government of India.
     
  • Children of transferable state government employees.
     
  • Children of non-transferable state government employees.
     
  • Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector undertaking of the state government.
     
  • Children from any other category.
  
   
  ADMISSION TO CLASS I :
 

  • Normally admission to class 1 in KVS are made in the beginning of the academic year commencing from 1st April of the year. Registration of applications is made at a specific time in February. The dates are to be ascertained from the Principal of the Vidyalaya concerned.

  
ADMISSION TO CLASS II AND ABOVE :
 

  • Fresh admissions from classes II and above may be made subject to availability of seats in the last week of April. After accommodating students coming on transfer from other Kendriya Vidyalayas, if the enrolment in a class is less than 35 per section, fresh admission will be considered and made up to 31st July in accordance with the rules of the sanghathan. While seeking admission, the parents should produce transfer certificate from the school where the child last studied duly counter signed by the competent authority.
     

  • Children coming from other Kendriya Vidyalayas on transfer of their parents to the place where admission is sought are given admission throughout the year. While seeking such admissions the parents should produce proof of their transfer to the place.

  AGE LIMIT FOR ADMISSION :

  1. A child must be at least 5 years old on 30th September in the academic year in which admission is being sought in class 1. For subsequent classes, the eligible age would be reckoned again with reference to 30th of September with a proportionate increase over 5 years.
     

  2. An upper age limit for admission is fixed as the minimum age limit plus 2 years.
